Refund Policy

How refunds work at Easy Takeoffs. The short version: try free for 14 days, no card required, no charge until you decide to subscribe.

1. Free Trial

Every Easy Takeoffs subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. You have full access during those 14 days, and you can take as many measurements, exports, and projects through the tool as you need to decide whether Easy Takeoffs is a good fit for your work.

If Easy Takeoffs is not right for you, do not subscribe at the end of your trial. No card was ever on file, so there is nothing to refund. Your account moves to a paywalled state where you can still sign in, view your existing projects and measurements, download your files, and delete projects. You will not be able to create new measurements, edit existing ones, or export until you subscribe.

2. No Refunds Policy

After you subscribe, Easy Takeoffs does not offer refunds for completed transactions. This applies to:

  • Monthly subscription payments
  • Annual subscription payments
  • Prorated charges resulting from a plan change
  • Charges already incurred during the current billing period

We do not offer prorated refunds for early cancellation. If you cancel your subscription partway through a billing period, you retain full access until the end of that period, and no refund is issued for the unused portion.

3. Discretionary Exceptions

At our sole discretion, we may issue refunds on a case-by-case basis for legitimate issues, including:

  • Duplicate charges due to a technical error on our end or on Stripe's side
  • Unauthorized charges due to account compromise
  • Charges made after a confirmed cancellation, where the cancellation was recorded by our system but a renewal still ran
  • Other extraordinary circumstances at our sole discretion

If you believe you have a legitimate refund situation, contact us at hello@easytakeoffs.com with your account email and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within two business days. Where we issue a refund, it is processed through Stripe back to your original payment method, typically arriving in five to ten business days depending on your card issuer.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time, with no cancellation fee, through any of the following methods:

  • From your Easy Takeoffs account Settings (Billing tab, then “Manage subscription”)
  • Directly through the Stripe Customer Portal at the URL provided on your Settings page
  • By emailing hello@easytakeoffs.com and requesting cancellation

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access until that period ends. After it ends, your account moves to a paywalled state. Your data is preserved indefinitely after cancellation. You can resubscribe at any time to restore full access, and your existing projects, measurements, templates, and files will be right where you left them.

5. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge was made in error, please email us at hello@easytakeoffs.com before initiating a chargeback through your card issuer. We will work to resolve the issue directly and aim to respond within two business days. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in the immediate cancellation of your subscription, in addition to other recovery options available to us.
