Plan Search, Symbol Counting, and Markups You Can Reshape

Search every sheet for text or symbols, count a symbol from one example, reshape markups, keep group totals in view, and set scales in one tap.

Highlights

  • Search every sheet for any text, even on scanned plans
  • Draw a box around one symbol, review the confirmed matches, and bulk-add the checked set
  • Reshape geometry and text markups after placing them, with new callout, line, and shape tools
  • Your active group's totals and materials stay in view while you work
  • Set a page's scale in one tap, or every page in one run

Search Every Sheet, Count Repeated Symbols

Your plans are now searchable. Press Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on Mac) or click Search in the toolbar, type anything (a door tag, a keynote, an equipment label), and results stream in grouped by sheet. Click one and you land right on it, highlighted, so your eye goes straight to the match. Scanned sheets without live text are read automatically, so an old photocopied set searches like a new one.

Counting repeated symbols is faster too. Switch Search to Symbol and draw a box around one example. On drawn plans, Vector mode reads the sheet's own linework and returns exact matches. Image mode handles everything else, scanned sheets included, and an AI double-checks possible matches before they appear in the list. Confirmed matches arrive checked by default for optional review or exclusion. When the run settles, one action adds the checked set as counts, grouped and ready to total.

Markups You Can Grab and Reshape

Markups can now be corrected after placement. Eleven geometry and text tools expose grab handles: stretch a shape by its corners, move a line by its endpoints, or walk a polygon around a new outline point by point. Freehand and highlighter keep their natural strokes, with the partial-stroke eraser handling corrections instead. The toolset grew too. Callout drops a boxed note at the end of a leader line, lines and polylines take arrow or dot ends, and polygon and polygon cloud shapes trace outlines a rectangle can't. Shapes take a solid or dashed outline and an optional light fill, stamps accept your own text, and selecting several markups restyles them all in one step.

Your markups follow you out of the app as well. PDF export gains an Include markups option, plus an optional markup summary page that lists every markup by sheet with its text and color. The complete toolset works on phone and tablet, every markup tool has a keyboard shortcut, and your colors, sizes, and stamp text are remembered on your account, so tomorrow starts where today left off.

The Group Workspace and a Smarter Sidebar

The active group now has a permanent home: a workspace pinned to the bottom of the sidebar with its totals, template, quantities, and materials. It stays put while you draw, so placing counts means watching the number climb with every click, and a small Page / All switch scopes everything it shows to the current sheet or the whole job. The group list understands pages too: each group shows its measurements on the current sheet, a quiet row notes what lives elsewhere, and one click jumps straight to any of it. The page number in the toolbar is now a button as well; click it and pick any sheet by name. Phones get the same group totals and materials, which they never had before.

Quality of Life Fixes

Set the scale in one tap. The scale value in the toolbar now opens a menu of that page's scales, including ones detected from the sheet itself, and Set all pages automatically scales the whole set in one run that a single undo reverses.

A camera that stays put. Zoom holds the spot under your pointer, and clicking an item in the sidebar keeps your zoom and centers the item with a brief pulse to point your eye.

Sheets that would not display. Fixed an issue where sheets from certain PDFs would not display, and an import that fails now says so instead of staying silent.

Counts you can rename and split. Selecting a placed count now opens the same properties every measurement gets: rename it, restyle its marker, or split one mark into its own count.

One card in the corner. The bottom-right corner shows a single tidy card for whatever you are doing, with one consistent look whether you are counting, marking up, or editing a selection.
